[tos]'s First Preview TOMORROW!!!
Oh my god. I have always been a huge fan of [title of show] ever since I saw it at the Vineyard Theatre. Actually, probably since my mom came home from the NYMF in 2004 and went on and on about how funny it was =) Their first BROADWAY preview is tomorrow (omg) and I wish I was there!!!!!!!! Well, I'm there in spirit (freaky) and I fully intend on seeing [tos] on B'way!!!!! Yay!
So the first preview of TOS last night was cra'mazing! When Larry walked out to the piano on stage, the crowd erupted in applause, which did not let up all night. My partner and I went to the stage door afterwards, but it was SO insane we left (there's footage up on the TOS blog of the crowds).
There's a few new musical bridges where they musicalize what previously was dialogue -- I'm mixed on what I thought of it (I'm probably just so used to the cast album). The whole 2nd half of the show was adjusted to reflect their move to Broadway. But it's still super fun. I hope you get down to NYC to see it!
I'm actually going to the first preview tomorrow (I also loved it at the Vineyard). I'll report back tomorrow with any news!
